Left at the intersection of Quarry and N. Albany Road and then left for a quick turn around the N. Albany Middle School teardrop before crossing over N. Albany Road onto the 10K Scenic Challenge course and up the formidable Scenic Drive hill. After the hill, runners will turn right and climb a gradual slope on Gibson Hill and coast down N. Albany Road, turn right and execute a short out-and-back on Thornton Lake Road to finish at North Albany Village. This route is for serious runners! Water will be available along the route. Road marshals present along route.

 10K Scenic Challenge Run Course
This 10K race is a loop course along rural roads with a significant elevation gain in the middle. The course runs along the base of a ridge and then switchbacks up the ridge before dropping briefly and beginning a long gentle climb and moderate descent followed by a mile and a half flat finish which will include a short out-and-back on Thornton Lake Road. This route is for serious runners! Water will be available along the route. Road marshals present along route.

5K To Hill and Back Run
This is an out-and-back run along a pastoral, rural road with minor elevation changes. Runners will travel down Thornton Lake Road to the midway markers and water station and return along the route. Road marshals present along route.

2.5 Mile Walk
The friendly walk course is a 2.5 mile loop with no significant elevation gain. Sidewalks or bike lanes are available throughout the course. Leashed dogs and strollers are allowed on the walking route. Road marshals present along route.

SCHOOL CHALLENGE

Come out and participate on Thanksgiving morning and support a local school and we’ll give even more! All Albany, Corvallis, Philomath, Lebanon and Jefferson Junior and High Schools are eligible to compete for prizes to be awarded to the two schools with the most registered participants.
