ABOUT THE EVENT

October 1, 2017. This inaugural event—which includes both Olympic and Sprint distances Triathlons, and an Olympic Distance Duathlon—is being presented by the Rotary Club of Salem and the Rotary Club of South Salem, and is co-sponsored by the City of Salem. The Triathlon involves three of Salem’s premier parks: Wallace Marine Park, Riverfront Park, and Minto-Brown Island Park. Participants will swim in the Willamette River, bike past downtown Salem and along rural River Road South, and run across the newly constructed Peter Courtney Minto Island Bridge.

Funds raised from this event will be used to support Rotary's local and international humanitarian projects that promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water, support education, and grow local economies.
